– Insert the SIM card.

Enter the last 4 digits of the account holder’s Social Security number. This is to ensure that the owner of the legitimate account authorizes phone activation.
– Let the phone restart.
During the activation process, the phone may restart itself once or twice. Verizon is sending a mobile programming signal. The activation process can take up to 15 minutes, depending on your phone. When you are done you will see the signal bar at the top of the screen.

– Log in to your Verizon account.
You will add the device to the phone package through the account settings page. Go to Verizon home page and log in to My Verizon using your account information. After you log in, point the mouse to the “My Verizon” tab and then click “Activate or Switch device” from the drop-down menu.
Enter the requested information, such as the mobile number for the activated device, the last 4 digits of the account holder’s SSN, and the IMEI / IMSI / MEID number located under the battery.
– Turn on the phone.
The activation process will start automatically. Your phone may restart itself once or twice during the activation process. When you are done you will see the signal bar at the top of the screen.
